Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. Ours was packed full of projects for the bridal house.

Our Friday evening started off by going to Lowe’s and picking up some supplies (specially buying the baseboard for the two bedrooms and the bridal room). Once that was bought and loaded up, we prepped our workspace for the next morning.

Saturday started off by painting the new trim (before it was put on the walls), laying out the floor plan and taking some measurements. Once that was done, the guys were able to start laying down the new floor!

We had a pretty good system going. Clint would measure what size of wood he needed, Tommy would cut it and Chad helped Clint install it.

Meanwhile downstairs, my mom and I painted the entire living room/kitchen area. Excuse the mess, but that’s what happens when you are undertaking a full home renovation

In case you were wondering, Mom did the trim and I did the rolling. If you’ve ever painted with someone, you know that you develop “roles” within the job. She is great at trim (and it is NOT my favorite).

Sunday, the guys were able to finish laying new floor for THE ENTIRE UPSTAIRS.

I worked on painting all of the baseboard for the entire downstairs (and y’all know how much I love doing trim work). While it was a slow process, it was worth it!

Whew! That weekend couldn’t have been busier but we are happy with the process being made on the bridal cottage. Thanks to all of our family that helped us this weekend. We could not have done this without you!

Onto the next project!
