This past Saturday we successfully hosted our first wedding. There were about 175 guest in attendance to celebrate Mike and Abigail’s big day!

Chad was the best man and was rocking his suit! He was also the chaperone for the groomsmen (and if you know this bunch-you know why this was needed).

Since Chad was busy with groomsmen duties, I called for backup.

Sandra and I were the parking attendants! Dad surprised us and helped us get the through the day! It was hot outside! I think the temperate was around 89 and we were in the sun for the most part (directing cars on where to go). We had a great time and we’re proud that we easily got 73 cars in our field with room to spare.

The ceremony site turned out beautiful and was reflective of the bride and groom. They added a personal touch on just about everything. I was impressed with their level of creativity!

The reception site was no different. Abigail had good food but also some fun details-like a candy bar, 3-4 different flavored cakes and pillow cases for the guest to sign their names on.

The brides family did a great job at cleaning afterwards (random thing to brag about-but much appreciated). Everything was gone and cleaned by 7:30 that evening. It was ready for the next wedding!

Since that wedding, we have a lot more peace about our property and venue. I am grateful for Sandra and my dad who came to work for us and help us survive that day (physically and emotionally). I am grateful for such a great bride and groom (and their families) to work with on hosting their wedding.

Most of all, we are giving praise to God for favor, wisdom and peace through it all.
